In flight!

We were graced with the presence of Mr. Crane while sitting in the park in Greenville. It was an awesome sight!

The Proposal

Upon waking on March 7, 2009 in Atlanta and seeing cloudy skies and drizzle, my excitement faltered for only a moment. Matthew and I were heading to Greenville today and the weather website promised sunshine and 10 degrees warmer than the present location. Greenville is a special city for the two of us, since he lived in Charlotte and I was in Atlanta, the midway point in SC was/is important and has played a key role in the growth of our relationship. Well, yesterday, upon arriving at one of our favorite parks in the city, Matthew produced a chronological photo album containing our history through photos, verses and poems, starting with keeping our focus on the Lord and ending with an empty page where he wanted to add photos from the day. And of course, his plan was for the photos to be of our engagement! Yes, he asked me to marry him, and I answered, "Yes, I will."
We later dined at one of our favorite spots, Addy's, a Dutch restaurant, which we both highly recommend.

Nice, cozy ambience. Matthew pointed out we should get engaged more often because people gave us free stuff. :)

And the future Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Keith Anderson.

Figure out what is different.

Quite obviously, both these photos differ in many ways, but I think you know what I'm getting at here. :)

Working Hard

At work, the therapists try to make it fun for the patients, so around most any kind of holiday, we try to decorate the gym and make it fun. Correction. The therapists get the patients to make the decorations and we turn it into therapy. So, above are a couple of photos of the patients hard work. For Valentine's Day, they made hearts and had to walk to the door and apply it themselves. When you are learning how to walk again, this can be tough. For Mardi Gras, they made masks, example above, and later in the day we had a parade for the long-term care patients, where some of the masks that were made were given as gifts. We had a blast!

Refreshing Snow

Holy cow! I can't believe it's snowing!
Oh, dang! It's actually accumulating!

Is this allowed in the South?

So beautiful!

To Be a Child

Last night, my sister and I realized that the party had quieted down a good bit. Uh-oh, where are the nephews? I asked this because they are two and one year old. Now you understand. Well, we discovered them in the fireplace. Don't worry, the key was not within the reach of their chubby fingers, but the soot and ashes sure were. Despite being covered head to toe and having turned the color gray, they were having a blast. They were learning even though they would not have described it that way. It made me appreciate them as children, their age and curious nature. When we brought them up to their parents, everyone panicked for a brief moment, which quickly turned in to laughter and the cameras started coming out, along with the baby wipes. Granted, if they were five years older, the situation probably would have been addressed differently, however, we can learn from children. Don't be afraid to get dirty and enjoy the small things in life. Let loose and live a little, but maybe not in the fireplace! :) Unfortunately, I do not have a picture to share with you.

How many...

beers does it take to calm a man's nerves after he has spoken with his girlfriend's parents regarding marriage? One. :)

The 2009 Growing Season is Up and Runnin'!

I love gardening! I was given the go ahead to start some seeds inside.
The picture above is of Beefsteak tomatoes. Yummy!

Heart day flowers...

...but we recognize everyday to be a day to love each other.
(Did I just make you barf?)

Art mania!

The church offered an art night for amateurs and pros alike. Above is a picture of the
still life we were to try and recreate...
...what do you think? :)

Clearly, I'm the amateur, yet truly enjoyed myself (I had M scratch in the bubbles)

and Matthew is the pro.
