Our New Home

Some lovely folks have asked to see photos of our new home. Well...here she is. I don't know why she is a female, maybe because homes are comforting and nurturing, as tends to be a woman. Enjoy! We hope you come and visit us.
The first thing I did when we arrived at our new place was head straight to the backyard and weeded parts of the garden. That tells where my passion lies.

Beach Trip, Mostly Pre-Oil Spill

The cottage,
the feasting,

the mojitos AND

the beach.

A group of girls went down to the Florida Panhandle for a long weekend of chillin', sunburn, fun and don't forget the oil spill. Upon leaving Sunday morning, the beginning of May, the water was starting to turn filmy and darken in color. Ugghhh!

The Beach?

No. The ballfield.

Cute No Matter How You Look At It!

Will is now playing t-ball. While EVERYONE is allowed to score, hit each inning and younger siblings allowed to play in the dirt on the field like it's sand at the beach, it was fun to watch the mass chaos and disarray on the field. Some argue it is silly to have such young ones playing an organized, while not so organized, sport. Whatever the opinion, one must agree the kiddies are dang cute!

Pobresito!

My poor husband is sick and as many of us do when we are ill, has let himself go these past couple of days. Now, I love his hair. I wish he would wear it like this on an everyday basis. If you have curls, share them with the world! As you can guess, I have straight hair. He gave me permission to share these photos, so everything you see here has been verified and is not an act of revenge.

Revisiting Fabric Flowers

This is the second time I have attempted making fabric flowers. With this go around, there has been the absence of wedding planning stress, which has been nice and I learned a good bit from the first attempt. Overall, this sewing frenzy was much more successful, enjoyable and produced a better product.

Trying Something New

Well, I'm not sure what it is exactly. I guess it could be an ornament, or get rid of the string and it could serve as a coaster. Whatever one chooses it to be, it was good to work with felt and learn about the different kinds, as well as practice with varying stitches. Oh...I'm a nerd. :) So, what do you think? Not about my nerdiness, but about the no name craft shown in the picuture. What do you think it is or could become?
