What to do, what to do?

So, the doctor has placed me on bedrest until March 10th. I've been on this already too familiar spot since last Thursday. My mind has tossed around what a blessing this is to 'oh my goodness, I'm going to go crazy'. A couple of folks have shown envy for my position here on the couch, but when it is 75 degrees outside in February, which would you like to take advantage of? I don't want to be a complainer. I understand the importance of bedrest for our 13 week old fetus baby and the necessity to keep my insides where they belong. So, what do to, what to do? I like to crochet, read, watch the Discovery channel. It would be good to catch up on email and phone calls to some of my buddies.

Do you have any suggestions? How can I turn this time not only in to something positive, which I realize a huge part of this comes from my attitude, but also productive? Not too productive mind you, I realize I am suppose to be resting.

More Snow!

These are out of order, but here comes civilization.

Hello? Is there anyone out there?

Where is the garden?

The local grocery store about half a mile from our house.

These footsteps were made before mine and I say that because I was the first one out this morning. It was a cool experience. Seeing everything untouched and quiet, as if I was the only one in existence other than the deer.

Garbage Can Chicken

Sounds trashy, but it's not...(say it in a sing songy voice)
The top of the bird appears to be well-done and it was, but the flavor was great.
Ooops! Accidentally tried to burn a hole through the deck. Thankfully, the report was dad laughed about the new decorative addition on the deck.

I'm Living in a White Christmas...

Weathering the storm.
Everything was so pretty and peaceful.
We made a little snowman. He is a sorry thing.

If you can't drive, you can atleast use your car as a glorified clothes dryer.

Merry Christmas!

Celebrating Matthew!

Santa joined us in celebrating Matthew's birthday,
we shared a competitive game of table football,

enjoyed scrumptous Russian Imperial Stout cake

and shared it all with great friends. We love Matthew! Happy Birthday!

Trick-Or-Treat

So, I'm surprised how many children didn't say 'thank you' when given a piece of candy. I'm giving you a nice piece of chocolate for free and not yelling at you for walking through the flower bed. Also, I decided to be friendly this year and not hide in the bushes with a chainsaw. Ok, so X out the chainsaw part. :) Something I did find encouraging was the large group of older kids that came to the door. They ALL had on great costumes AND said 'thank you'.

One Year

Happy One Year Anniversary to us! We went up to Chattanooga, TN for a couple of days. This photo is taken from the largest pedestrian bridge in the US, so I read. We had a great time, blessed with beautiful weather, enjoyed wonderful food and most of all each other's company.
